When you look for a photographer, you’re usually looking for two things: beautiful photos and a person who won't judge you if things aren't "perfect."

I get it! As a current secondary school teacher and a mother of a nearly two-year-old of my own at home, I live in the world of "real life." My photoshoots are a judgment-free zone where your family’s unique energy is exactly what I’m there to capture.

Here is why my background makes me uniquely qualified to be your photographer.

1. I "Get" the Toddler Life (I’m in the trenches, too!)

Having a nearly two-year-old at home means I am intimately familiar with the "toddler whirlwind." I know that snacks are a currency, naps are sacred, and that sometimes a two-year-old just needs a minute to explore.

The Benefit to You: I won’t be frustrated if your little one won't sit still. I have a toolkit of "mum tricks" to get those genuine giggles, and I know exactly how to work around the unpredictable nature of tiny humans.

2. Neurodiversity: A Space Where Everyone Belongs

In my teaching career, I’ve had the privilege of working with many neurodivergent children. I understand that a "standard" photo shoot - with bright flashes, loud directions, or the pressure to make eye contact can be overwhelming for some.

The Benefit to You: If your child has sensory sensitivities, ADHD, Autism, or other needs, please know that I am experienced in adapting my "classroom" (the shoot) to them. We can work with natural light, move at their pace, and find ways to capture their personality that feel safe and comfortable for them.

3. From Primary to Secondary: I Speak Everyone’s Language

My experience across both primary and secondary settings means I have a "chameleon" ability to connect with any age group.

The Little Ones: My primary experience means I’m not afraid to be silly, sing a song, or get down on the grass to get a shot.

The Teenagers: My daily life in a secondary school means I know how to talk to your teens without being "cringe." I respect their space and know how to earn their trust so they actually enjoy the process.

4. The Educator’s Precision for Your Brand

When it comes to my Branding and Commercial clients, that same teaching background is your greatest asset. I approach your business with the same clarity I use to break down a complex curriculum. I’m organised, I’m a clear communicator, and I hold a high level of professional accountability (including up-to-date DBS checks).

5. A Judgment-Free Experience

Whether you are a business owner needing a headshot or a parent worried that your kids will be "too much" - I want you to hear this: You are in safe hands. I’ve seen it all in the classroom, and I’ve seen it all at home with my toddler. My goal is to make you feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
